Privacy Policy for TaskBeGone

      Offline-first, with optional sync you control: TaskBeGone works fully on your device with no account. If you want your tasks on more than one device, you can optionally create an account and turn on sync — and you can delete that account and all of its cloud data at any time from within the app.
    

Lifestyle App Studios operates the TaskBeGone mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and the choices you have.

Our Privacy Commitment

TaskBeGone is built for people with ADHD who want a task manager that respects their privacy. By default your data stays on your device. Nothing leaves your device unless you choose to sign in and enable sync.

Information We Collect

Task Data

Your tasks, brain dumps, repeating tasks, timelines, check-ins and completed history are stored locally on your device:

Task names, descriptions, due dates and priorities
Brain dump entries
Repeating-task schedules and reminders
Daily check-in / mood entries and notes
Completed task history

This data stays on your device unless you enable sync (below).

Account & Sync (Optional)

An account is optional and exists only to sync your data across your devices. If you create an account or sign in:

We collect your email address, and — if you sign in with Google or Apple — the name and email those services return, plus an account identifier.
When sync is on, the task data listed above is stored on our backend (hosted by Supabase) so your devices can stay in step. It is transmitted over an encrypted connection and is accessible only to your account.
We use this information solely to operate the account and sync features. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time in the app (Settings → Account & Sync → Delete account & data). Deletion is permanent.

AI Task Breakdown

The optional "break this down" feature generates suggested steps for a task. It runs on your device and, in that mode, no task data is sent anywhere. If a build is configured to use a server-side helper, only the title of the task you choose to break down is sent to generate steps; it is not stored or used to train models. No AI provider key is embedded in the app.

Voice Input

Speech-to-text is processed on-device using your phone's built-in capabilities. Audio is not transmitted to our servers.

Purchase Information

The one-time Unlock is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We only receive confirmation of the purchase; we never receive your payment details.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Location data
Contacts or calendar access
Usage analytics or tracking (the app contains no analytics or advertising SDKs)
Any data at all when you use the app without an account

Data Storage

On your device: a local SQLite database holds your tasks and history.
Optional cloud sync: when you sign in and enable sync, your data is stored on Supabase under your account and protected by per-account access controls.
No account needed: the app is fully usable offline, with no signup.

Children's Privacy

TaskBeGone is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last Updated" date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be reflected here.
